Titolo ricerca: Membrane Systems: a framework for stochastic processes modelling and analysis

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Ettore Mosca was born in Milan in 1982, Italy, where he got the Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biotechnology (2005) with the thesis “Cellular networks theory and in silico approaches for the study of yeast glycolysis” and then the Masters' degree in Bioinformatics (2007) with the thesis “Development of a database for the simulation and parameter estimation of cell cycle mathematical models using high performance computing” at the University of Milan-Bicocca, Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences (BTBS). Currently, he has a research grant from Istituto Tecnologie Biomediche - Consiglio Nazionale Ricerche (ITB-CNR), in Segrate, Milan, Italy. He is interested in database and data integration, mathematical modelling of cellular pathways and parameter estimation with evolutionary algorithms. Moreover, he is a PhD student of Computer Science at University of Milan-Bicocca, Department of Informatics, Systems and Communication (DISCo). He studies membrane computing as a framework for the modelling and analysis of stochastic processes with application to molecular systems.
