Paolo Amato received the Laurea degree in Computer Science from the University of Milano (Italy), in 1997. From 1998 to march 2008, he has been with STMicroelectronics, Agrate, Italy. From 2000 to 2005, he has been the leader of the “Methodology for Complexity” team (a global R&D team of about 30 people located in Milano, Napoli, Catania, Moscow and Singapore); a team aimed at developing methods, algorithms, and software tools for complex system management. From 2005 to 2008, he has been the Manager of Statistical Methods for Non Volatile Memory-Technology Development group. He is currently with Numonyx, and he is the expert of statistical methods, error correcting codes and cryptography for the Process Technology Development group. Moreover, since 2009 he is also a PhD student at Department of Information, Systems and Communication (DISCo) of University of Milano Bicocca. He is the author of more than 40 papers published on peer-reviewed international journals and international conferences. He also filed 16 patents.
