Topic - Aim organization

The Petri Net Course will take place on June 23-25 prior to the 34th International Conference on Application and Theory of Petri Nets and Concurrency, 26-28 June 2013 and it is intended also for others PhD Students and researchers.

 

The Course offers a thorough introduction to the theory of Petri Nets and a choice between two full-day tutorial modules on applications of Petri Nets and/or new developments presented by experts in the area.

Choice between two full day modules:

 

Unfoldings - (Thomas Chatain, Stefan Haar, Victor Khomenko, G. Michele Pinna)

 

Petri Nets for Systems Biology - (Monika Heiner et al.)

 

Preparation phase before the Course  (Lucia Pomello)

In order to follow the course, students are supposed to read some material in advance.

For this preparation phase, there will be on June two/three meetings in which the distributed material will be presented/discussed.

Final Examination

- Examinations (for the theory modules in the form of small exercises or homework)

and

- A written report as an outcome of a project or examination (associated with 

the tutorial module chosen for the third day).

 

For the examination and submission of answers of the Sunday/Monday modules, there will be an opportunity during and/or shortly after the Course.

 

The completion of the assignment of the Tuesday module will take place after the Course as agreed with the lecturer(s).
