Abstract
Language Models are revolutionizing the world and are deeply changing the way we do research. In this talk, we will analyze what is the role of memorization and we will try to understand how simple memorization is exploited in downstream tasks.
Short Bio
Fabio Massimo Zanzotto is an Associate Professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he leads the Human-centric ART group. He has worked in the challenging, wide area of Artificial Intelligence since 1996, focusing on Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. Zanzotto coordinates many EU and National projects in different application areas: medicine, -omics, tourism, extreme sports, and teaching. Some years ago, he realized how disruptive the impact of AI researchers can be. Then, he redesigned his research agenda to help to contribute to a fairer AI.
