I finished my studies... And now?

The Department and the University organize numerous activities of: postgraduate education and outgoing orientation. These initiatives are aimed at graduates and undergraduates of the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, and of the Master's Degrees in Computer Science, TTC and Data Science.

Postgraduate training

  • State Exam (Information Engineer).¬†Graduates in Computer Science and Master's Degrees in Computer Science (exactly like those in Computer Engineering), can acquire the title of "Junior Information Engineer" and "Information Engineer", respectively. In fact, they can participate in the State Examination for the qualification to the profession of Junior Information Engineer and Information Engineer, for which our University is the exam venue.
  • PhDs and masters. As regards the postgraduate training offer, at the Department it is possible to achieve:

Outgoing Orientation

Through the departmental Orientation Commission, (chaired by Prof. Alberto Dennunzio), the Department organizes, during each academic year, various outgoing orientation initiatives, of an informative and training nature, with two main objectives.‚Äč

Open days

presentation of the educational offer of the Study Programs of the following cycle (Bachelor's Degrees → Master's Degrees). In detail, a presentation day of the Master's Degree Courses in: Computer Science, Data Science and Theory and Technology of Communication (TTC) is organised, during which professors, representatives of the corporate world and former students of these Degree Courses participate. The meeting is aimed at students of Bachelor’s degrees.

Connection with the world of work 

(Bachelor's and Master's Degrees ‚Üí Work)

In addition, various activities are organized to put students in contact with companies in the IT sector, as well as help them prepare their CV and face a job interview. To this end, the "Informatica al lavoro ‚Äď (Computer science at work)"¬†initiative is organized in collaboration with the University's Job Placement office. This initiative consists of cycles of meetings aimed mainly at final year students of Bachelor's and Master's Degree Courses, as well as recent graduates, with the aim of establishing contact with companies in the IT sector. The meetings consist of seminars on the CV and the active job search and simulations of job interviews with CV checks in collaboration with important companies in the sector.¬†


University Orientation Services Network.

Besides, the University has established a University Orientation Services Network, coordinated by an Advisory Board, which aims to provide a comprehensive and competent response to students' orientation requirements throughout their university careers: upon enrolment, during their studies and before graduation.  It also organises occasions for parents, teachers and citizens to meet, discuss and reflect together on how to accompany the choices and plans of young people. All services are accessible free of charge.
