On November 13, 2025, Aurora Saibene presented as an invited speaker at the Midterm Conference of the Society of Neuroethics and Philosophy of Neuroscience.
With her speech (Digital surveillance and neurotechnologies - The IT perspective for ethical reflection and for the protection of human rights), Aurora brought a technical description of consumer-grade neurotechnologies and analyzed the life cycle of Brain-Computer Interfaces by combining possible technical risks with possible ethical/legal risks.
The intervention aimed to represent the multidisciplinary soul of the newborn interdepartmental laboratory TecSEDU - Emerging Technologies, Society, Ethics and Human Rights, without losing Aurora's identity as a researcher in the neuroinformatics field and as an active member of the DISCo laboratory of MultiMedia Signal Processing.
