The Department of Informatics, Systems and Communication of the University of Milano-Bicocca was selected by the ANVUR as one of the 180 Departments of Excellence for the years 2023-2027. Nationwide, it is one of the only 11 Departments in the areas of Computer Science and Mathematics to receive this recognition.
The Project of Excellence which will be financed by ANVUR focuses on the development and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques for social good. Among its specific goals are the development of sustainable and of low energy impact AI solutions; and applications on the social development, bioinformatics, and medicine.
